What to Expect

TUMBLING CLASSES

PTA is a technique-first tumbling academy for athletes ages 6–18 and organized by age and skill level.
Classes focus on technique, strength, flexibility, and confidence in a fun, team-style environment. Weather your child is stepping onto a mat for the first time or working toward advanced skills, our classes are designed to meet them exactly where they are. We keep class sizes small — capped at 8 athletes — so every student gets the hands-on attention they need to progress safely and confidently.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons at PTA are one-on-one training sessions built entirely around your athlete. Every session is tailored to their individual goals, skill level, and pace — because no two athletes are on the same path.

Whether your child is working toward a new skill, cleaning up technique, pushing past a mental block, or preparing for cheer tryouts, private lessons give them the focused attention and hands-on coaching that group classes can’t always provide.

COACHES TRAINING PROGRAM

Our Coaches Training Program is designed for individuals who love tumbling and want to learn how to teach it safely and effectively. Whether you’re a former athlete looking to transition into coaching, a parent who wants to give back to the sport, or someone brand new to the coaching world, this program will give you the tools, knowledge, and hands-on experience you need to coach with confidence.

TESTIMONIALS

“Matt is an incredible coach who has been part of my daughter’s cheer journey for over 3 years. Through privates lessons he consistently pushed my daughter past her comfort zone while helping her achieve amazing results. What truly sets him apart is his dedication and positive energy. He always has a smile on his face. He makes tumbling fun and motivating while always emphasizing proper technique. My daughter grew tremendously under his coaching both in skill and confidence. We loved training with coach Matt and can guarantee you will too!”

— KRYSTAL

“Can’t say enough about how awesome Coach Matt is!! My daughter did privates with him from the time she was 7 years old working on forward rolls until he moved when she was 11 years old working on level 6 twisting passes.  As a tumble coach, he emphasizes techniques and always places safety first.  His attention to detail and unwavering dedication to solid tumble foundations set my daughter up for success.  He doesn’t believe in the “just throw it” mentality.

Coach Matt is also the consummate professional, always prompt, organized, and consistent with his scheduling.  On a personal level, he is a total joy.  His energetic, bubbly personality makes tumbling sessions really fun and lighthearted with a smile that is contagious!

As a parent, you always dream of having a coach that can teach your child awesome tumbling skills while also demonstrating strong moral character. Coach Matt is that coach and we are so thankful for him!”

“Matt was my daughter’s tumbling coach after she pleaded to do privates with him. She began tumbling a little later then most and was not the most flexible. He guided her with confidence and technique to accomplish getting her past the fear of backward skills. She has been able to level up confidently in cheer because of what Matt instilled in her.”

— CHRIS

Coach Matt played such an important role in my daughter Ella’s cheer journey. She began training with him at just 6 years old, and he was instrumental in building the strong tumbling foundation she relies on today. His dedication, patience, and belief in her potential helped shape her into the confident athlete she’s becoming, with advanced tumbling skills and a passion for excelling as both a tumbler and a flyer.

Even more special was the way Matt brought fun. He brought so much energy and positivity that made Ella fall in love with cheerleading. Although he moved away a year ago, the impact he made during those early years continues to show in her skills, confidence, and joy for the sport.

— CASSANDRA

“Matt is one of the most dedicated and determined coaches I have ever worked with. He is very outgoing and makes every athlete feel valued and supported. He works hard to help all of his athletes succeed and reach their full potential and is capable of giving tough feedback in a way that lands with his cheerleaders. Overall, he creates a fun environment while still maintaining a strong focus on developing strong skills.”

About Our Company

Professor’s Tumbling Academy was born from a nine‑year‑old kid who fell in love with tumbling and never really left the gym. Tumbling became my saving grace and the place I felt the most myself, I spent years training, studying technique, and working with talented coaches and athletes to perfect my craft as a coach.

Over time, I saw how many athletes were trying to learn big skills without the right progressions, support, understanding, technique or safe environment. I wanted to build a gym where athletes ages 6–18 could get cheer‑specific tumbling training that focuses on correct form, body control, and step‑by‑step progressions, not just ‘throwing’ skills.

At Professor’s Tumbling Academy, our small group classes and private lessons are designed to meet each athlete where they are and help them move forward with confidence. We will break down skills so athletes understand what their bodies can do. Our small-group classes and private lessons are tailored to each athlete's current skill level, helping them progress confidently. We focus on breaking down skills so athletes understand how their bodies move, celebrate every achievement, and teach the importance of hard work, listening to their bodies, and trusting themselves. My goal is to create a gym culture that feels like a second home—fun, encouraging, and focused on technique—while also preparing the next generation of athletes who may one day aspire to become coaches themselves. We celebrate every win and teach them how to work hard, listen to their bodies, and trust themselves. I aim to foster a gym environment that feels like a second home—fun, encouraging, and technique-focused—while preparing future athletes for coaching roles.
